I am so excited to finally be able to share all the photos and details from our Palm Springs wedding which took place on April 28th, 2012. Our wedding is also being featured today on Green Wedding Shoes along with some DIY posts by yours truly and my friend, Chelsea of Hello Gem, who created all our wedding florals so be sure to head over there as well.
From the beginning, we always knew we wanted our wedding to be intimate and feel like one big dinner party. Obviously, there are a lot of ways to execute both of those desires, but I think the big thing for us was finding the perfect venue. We spend a lot of time out in Palm Springs so we knew it would be a fun place to get married and provide the relaxed wedding vibe we were shooting for. We chose to have our wedding ceremony and reception at The Cree Estate and although we had appointments to visit three different venues after The Cree, we never made it to any of them because we called the property managers to secure an event date immediately after our walk-through of the lush property. The biggest selling points with this venue besides the beautiful grounds wsere how the wedding would flow across the entire property throughout the night and that the entire estate was all ours for three full days. We were able to relax and set things up on Friday, the entire bridal party slept there after the wedding on Saturday and we returned to host a day after pool party on Sunday in the estate's enormous main pool!
Our wedding was more amazing than we could have ever imagined or asked for. I feel incredibly lucky to have been surrounded by so much love and support from our friends and family while I got to marry the love of my life. I have never felt more happy or had more fun in my entire life than in that one little weekend. Today I am sharing some pictures that highlight the big day, captured by the amazing Roger and Lyndzee of EP Love.
I spent the all the time leading up to the wedding crafting and sourcing everything I possibly could. All of which I plan to share on the blog this week and next with some general wedding posts in the next few days as well as some more in depth DIY posts next week.
next up tomorrow: all the details on our wedding outfits

ReplyDeleteI love love love this wedding! Everything from the garland to the amazing gold dress! I have a question about the groom's and groomsmen style (again, love.) Did they all buy the Ludlow suit from J.Crew to match? Or did you find somewhere for the men to rent from? I want to do dark grey suits for my groomsman but hate to ask them all to buy a new suit for the wedding. THANK YOU! and congratulations!
ReplyDeleteHi Lele,
DeleteTomorrow I will be posting all the details on our outfits!!! And you will love to hear about the groomsmen details (not from j. crew) because we got all those suits for less than $100! :)
