{what i loved this week}
on instagram: Dying over these beautiful flower crowns- makes me miss the springtime. Even though I have been a die-hard user of Blurb for photobooks, these snapshots of books from Artifact Uprising just might make me stray. This bouquet by Hey Gorgeous is just perfect. My wedding dress designer in NYC has started adding lace embellishments to the dress I wore and its just so delicate and pretty.
on pinterest: Pinterest is full of images of a simple t-shirt mixed with a glam sequin skirt- it gets me every time, but I have yet to recreate it. Absolutely love these branded welcome goods this couple had for their wedding- especially the custom chapstick!
on the blogs: A super fun DIY on the Minted blog for these pom headbands- would be great for a birthday or bachelorette party!
on my kindle: I have halfway through Crazy Rich Asians and I am absolutely loving it- its a total guilty pleasure beach read (or airplane read!) Up next, I've downloaded Carole Radziwill's memoir which I have been wanting to read ever since she made her debut on RHONY.
on my wishlist: If we didn't already have these lamps, I would 100% be scooping up a pair of these Nate Berkus for Target gold prism lamps. Both of these pieces of jewelry are the perfect mix of edgy and feminine- necklace from Stella & Dot and cafe society ring from Henri Bendel.

{friday cocktail: the harlem shake}
This Friday's cocktail is named after one of the the tasty punches we had on New Year's Eve. Despite it being a bourbon based cocktail, it completely won me over with it's tart and spicy mix. I would definitely categorize this recipe as one of those crowd pleasers for when you need one cocktail for various finicky guests!
Cheers!

{happy new year from paris!}
Cheers and wishing you a very happy new year!!!! We rang in the new year last night with 4 other American friends who are visiting Paris right now at an amazing restaurant we just happened to stumble upon while searching for a place to eat dinner that wasn't completely overflowing with people.
We found ourselves on the adorable nearby Rue Cler which is where we found L'Eclair Cocktail Bar & Restaurant. Grabbing the very last table that was supposed to fit four, we squeezed 6 in and proceeded to order a bunch of small plates including an open-face croque monsieur and a delicious pan-fried steak tartare. While the food was truly great (as all the french food has been so far), the best part of the restaurant was their amazing cocktail menu which boasted a line up of 5 different group-sized punches of which we ordered two. One was a delicious champagne punch they created especially for New Year's Eve with St. Germain, citrus and pear juice. The other, titled The Harlem Shake, was made with bourbon, mulled wine, citrus & ginger ale. Both were drained to the very last drop and sent us on our way to officially ring in the new year in front of the Eiffel Tower.
{see video I took of the tower at midnight right here}
