{diy wedding weekend}

I spent last weekend as a bridesmaid in my friends, Heather & Josh's, wedding down in Laguna Beach. They held their ceremony and reception at Seven Degrees and they added TONS of beautiful diy details that I wanted to share with you...

The escort cards were placed in envelopes slid onto corks that the couple saved over the past year. The corks were stabilized using small metal kickstands, but you can also use a penny glued onto the bottom.

 A close up photo of the bridesmaid bouquet I got to carry which the bride designed filled with dusty miller, pink peonies, white ranunculus and of course, succulents!

Heather allowed all of the bridesmaids to pick out their own shoes in any shade of pink they desired- mine are on the far right.

 As part of our bridesmaid gift, all of the ladies received these fabulous grey jersey robes to get ready in. Such a great gift and a wonderful look for "getting ready" photos. The above photo is of myself and fellow bridesmaid/shoe blogger, Ashley. (check out her blog www.pursuitofshoes.com)

Josh and Heather got engaged at Domaine Carneros winery in Napa and for their guest book they got a 6 liter bottle (equivalent to 8 normal sized bottles) of champagne and had all the guests sign their name on the huge bottle in silver paint pens  They plan to open the bottle on their five or ten year anniversary.

A few months ago, I helped Heather pick out some pink fabric and charcoal grey lace in downtown Los Angeles and we used it to create these table runners for the head table.

I wish I had more photos to share from the actual ceremony and recption, but we were all having so much fun we forgot to take more photos. I promise to share a few once the happy couple gets the professional shots back!
