{st. patrick's day dinner party}

Tonight we are having some friends over for a St. Patrick's Day dinner party complete with an Irish-inspired menu.  I love picking out dishes that allow us to do most, if not all, of the prep work the night before. Last night, we were able to make up the dessert, bread dough, potatoes and short ribs.  For the dessert, I found this amazing Irish Whiskey Chocolate cake (recipe here).  While I was making the dessert, Chris prepped the bread dough, potatoes and stout braised short ribs (recipe here).

{I used medium sized ramekins instead of mini mason jars as the recipe calls for. They turned out great, but the cooking time was 10 minutes less than the original recipe}
