I have been wanting to get a new bedframe for our room for year or so now. Earlier this year, I spotted this upholstered frame on Amazon made by a company called Skyline Furniture ranging in price from $550 to $700. The price is unbeatable based on the other frames I have seen, but I was definitely skeptical thinking some things that are too good to be true probably are until I saw the bed in this recent home tour on The Everygirl. After seeing the bed "in the wild," my interest in finally nailing down a color/fabric to purchase was renewed.
I have been able to narrow down my choices to the three options shown above. With a lot of our home decor purchases, especially larger pieces, I tend to be very risk aversive and settle for a "safe" color or fabric option like our grey couches or simple white dining chairs, etc.
What do you think? What option do you like best given the current decor in our room:
At this moment, I am leaning towards the navy- its feels a little bit more masculine and sexy than the greys, but I dont love how contrasted the nailheads are on this color versus them having a more tonal look against the greys? ugh decisions....
Check out all the details about each of the options here:
I'd go with the navy for contrast, or if there is even a nice dark charcoal gray option. Love those pieces above your bed. Who is the artist?
ReplyDeleteI think the navy would be great. It will be clean and sharp against the wall color and the bedding. Can't beat the price!
ReplyDeleteI have a Skyline tufted frame and love it! It's sturdy and great quality for the price.
ReplyDeleteNavy! Love this bed frame!

ReplyDeleteNavy. It would really pop against the wall and the side tables. The greys would blend in too much.

Yep, Navy! That bed reminds me of a lovely tufted number from Bernhardt I've been obsessed with for 2 years...This just cut my saving time in half! I can't wait to see which you select. You really can't go wrong with any of the 3 :)
ReplyDeleteI like either the navy or the grey linen the best. I feel like the light grey wouldn't stand out enough. My vote would be navy though.
ReplyDeleteI love the navy one - I think that's by far the best option. If you really don't like the nailhead contrast though, I'd go for the lighter grey. Although it wouldn't *pop* as much, like the other commenters suggested, I think it would blend nicely - adding texture to the wall, rather than pop. I would worry that the dark grey wouldn't blend or pop but would stick out. Buuuuut it's still a beauty headboard, so you really can't go wrong!
ReplyDeleteMy first thought was the navy as well. It feels very sophisticated.
ReplyDeleteI have this exact same Skyline bed frame in the grey linen! It's gorgeous. We also bought a Skyline headboard only in navy for the guest room. And I have to say, the grey looks a lot more luxurious. The navy almost looks like denim. I can email a few photos if you'd like!

Navy! I said it aloud before I scrolled down further to see what you were leaning towards. I think it will really pop against the light walls and nightstands!
ReplyDeleteI think the navy would look amazing in your bedroom!
ReplyDeleteI initially would have said navy because I think the pop of color would be AMAZING, but if Monica is right and it looks denim, I would pass and go with the darker gray. Good luck making your decision!
ReplyDeleteI like the navy, I think your white bedding will pop off it and look amazing, but they are all beautiful, so you really can't make a wrong decision.

I definitely vote navy! It will make most beddings pop and will look great next to your night stands! Can't wait to see the final choice!
ReplyDeleteI have the Navy and it doesn't look like Denim to me... It's in my vacation home at the beach and mixes with Grey bedding well! good luck!
