{chocolate dipped meringues}
While wandering around Trader Joe's yesterday, I came across their container of vanilla meringues. I have bought these before and they are pretty good, but a little bit boring so I decided to pick up some milk chocolate and sprinkles as well. After melting the milk chocolate using a double boiler method, I simply dipped half of the meringue into the chocolate and then topped it with sprinkles using this little trick. After all of the meringues were dipped, I put the cooling rack into the fridge for about 30 minutes to let chocolate harden.
This dessert is pretty much fool proof and would make a great hostess gift for a dinner party or topped with color-coordinated sprinkles to match a party theme. I also would love to try these with chopped nuts or drizzled with white chocolate.
