{a celebration dinner}

After months of studying, Chris took the GMAT this past Saturday. I had wanted to throw a big party to celebrate, but Chris said he just wanted to cook a dinner for the two of us. Even though we weren't having a huge get together, I wasn't going to miss out on a chance to decorate so I made a simple table setting for our celebration dinner for two.  I used some butcher paper as a table runner and covered it in gold origami squares that I cut into extra large confetti using a 2 inch circle punch.

  1. Love your candlesticks. I have some big chunky ones like that which I'm thinking of spraypainting. Did you paint yours or did they come in that fabulous colour?

  2. Hi Anna- These "candlesticks" were actually the bottoms or bases of glass hurricanes. I did paint them using Montana's spray paint in matte finish and the color is called "Robin's Egg." Although I have been considering re-painting them in either gold or glossy white.
