{diy bunting}

{1. etsy, 2. kiki la ru, 3. ruffled}

After being inspired by the bunting I was seeing all over weddings, parties & etsy shops, I decided to make some for our 25th Birthday dinner party. I ended up becoming obsessed with it and making it for every holiday party of the season.

I purchased all the fabric at the best kept secret in the fabric district, the "loft" at Micheal Levine,- all of the fabric here is $2.50 per pound! I bought the grosgrain ribbon on a 50 yard spool at Target Trim down the street for...wait for it....$7!

Basically if you can cut a triangle and sew a straight line then you are all set to make some for yourself...

After creating a triangle template and cutting out enough triangles to cover my entire living room, I simply sandwiched the triangles between two strips of the grosgrain ribbon. Then sewed straight down the middle of the ribbon- securing the triangles between it.
