{50% raw}

{http://angelahardison.blogspot.com/}

I came across a some beautiful food photography yesterday on Angela Hardison's blog. Not only are the images inspiring, but so is the resolution that she has made to make up 50% of her diet with raw foods. If this is what 50% raw looks like then sign me up!

 How good do these kale chips look? I found a recipe here accompanied by some more beautiful food photography. Definitely want to try it out as an afternoon snack at work. check out her blog for more meal ideas.

{diy bunting}

{1. etsy, 2. kiki la ru, 3. ruffled}

After being inspired by the bunting I was seeing all over weddings, parties & etsy shops, I decided to make some for our 25th Birthday dinner party. I ended up becoming obsessed with it and making it for every holiday party of the season.

I purchased all the fabric at the best kept secret in the fabric district, the "loft" at Micheal Levine,- all of the fabric here is $2.50 per pound! I bought the grosgrain ribbon on a 50 yard spool at Target Trim down the street for...wait for it....$7!

Basically if you can cut a triangle and sew a straight line then you are all set to make some for yourself...

After creating a triangle template and cutting out enough triangles to cover my entire living room, I simply sandwiched the triangles between two strips of the grosgrain ribbon. Then sewed straight down the middle of the ribbon- securing the triangles between it.

{valentine's pretzels}

Chocolate covered pretzels are so easy and inexpensive to make. I usually like to use the smaller pretzel sticks from Trader Joe's for chocolate dipped pretzels, but for Valentine's I wanted to do some a little more special.

Large pretzels rods are actually somewhat difficult to find and I ended up finding a tub for them for sale at Staples (yeah, the office supply store).

Cover 3/4 of the pretzel in melted milk chocolate, sprinkle, chill in fridge for about 45 minutes and enjoy!
